Liz Eich is a Lecturer and Laboratory Coordinator in the Biochemistry and Cell Biology Department and Senior Lecturer in Professional Communications in the Wiess School of Natural Sciences.
Dr. Eich received her B.S. in Biochemistry and Genetics from Texas A&M University and her Ph. D. in Biochemistry/Cell Biology from Rice University. She gained experience in communication instruction as a member of the Cain Project in Engineering and Professional Communication.
She has worked with students one-on-one and in large class settings to improve their understanding of laboratory research practices and communication of their scientific goals. In addition to NSCI 121: Writing Professionally in Natural Sciences, Dr. Eich teaches BIOS 122: Fundamental Concepts in Biology, a course that introduces non-biology majors to the excitement of biology. Dr. Eich also co-instructs BIOS 111, BIOS 211, and BIOS 312 undergraduate lab courses.
